CHIGOZIE
ANULI MBADUGHA
Chigozie Anuli Mbadugha is a multiple
award-winning author with a natural flair for the arts. She wrote her first
unpublished novel at the age of six and has been writing poems, scripts, short
stories, and songs since then, which were mainly for leisure. One of her poems,
“The New Yam Festival,” won second prize in a nationwide poetry competition in
1983 and she was the recipient of the silver prize at the Kanagawa World
Biennial Children’s art competition in Japan in 1987.
The rigours of medical school and residency
training made her writing sporadic for several years. A long distance rural
post-residency posting requiring about six hours of commute to and from work,
provided writing time for Chigozie in the back seat of a car and in the
tremendous heat of Lagos traffic.
Her debut publication Beyond the Trial was awarded the Samuel Ajayi Crowther prize in
2017. Beyond the Trial is a collection of three novellas with a unifying
theme of female empowerment. The UN SDG
5 Book Pick Rude Awakening is
one of the three novellas in Beyond the
Trial. All three novellas have
also been published as standalone books.
Her drama entry for the African Human Rights
Play-writing Contest 2021 titled I
Should Have Been Enough
made the final shortlist in the competition. By
profession, Chigozie is an ophthalmic surgeon and an avid researcher. She draws inspiration from God and from the
love of her family. Mrs. Mbadugha will be talking on Writing to Make Impact as
a Christian Author.

OTUNLA
SAMUEL OLUDARE
Otunla Samuel Oludare. His writing
skill was discovered at a very tender age with creative writing to present
fictional story to classmate. This discovery started with discovery of talent
which its practicality metaorphosis to being an author of books such as
fortitude to grateness, and the recently sold, titled sting of death and more
are still in progress. His unique and logical expression differentiates him
among contemporaries. He is a teacher, a gospel musician who had written songs
to his credit, and married with two kids. His passion to growth and development
in youth in a way of forstalling moral value drives him to do more in writing.
He had baged two awards in public speaking and in music from the Youth chapter
of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Osun state as the best public speaker
in 2019. He had led youths in self reliance and his oratory talent is top nouch
not just to arouse interest but to present realities that are workable for a
better society. And to mention but a few, he is the present Creativity Director
of the Fellowship of Gospel Musician of Nigeria, Osun state. Mr. Otunla will be
talking on Christian Culture, The Purpose and Mission of Christ on Earth.
